The Nerja Caves

Three kilometers east of Nerja you will find these impressive and unique caves: they house six paintings of seals, 42,300 years old, that are the only known artistic images created Neanderthal man and, by far, the oldest works of art in the world. Here you will also find the world's longest and largest stalactite, with 33 meters height and 42 x 22 feet base.
