'Pescaíto frito' and 'espetos' by the beach

Torremolinos is the home of 'pescaíto frito' (fried fish). Anchovies, sardines, red mullet, squid, baby squid and cuttlefish reach their zenith here. You will find also unbeatable sardines cooked over an open fire, in a very traditional and popular way called 'espeto'. Dishes that you can sample in the classic beach restaurants or 'chiringuitos'.

'Chiringuitos' In Torremolinos there are about 70 beach bars or 'chiringuitos'. In most of them you can enjoy the delicious fried fish.
Orientative price From approximately 7 € you can enjoy delicious dishes of fried fish. These dishes, called 'raciones', are ideal for sharing. They can be 'mixed' or with only one type of fish.
'Espetos' vs. 'pescaíto frito' The fish skewers are roasted on charcoal with salt as the only seasoning. The 'pescaíto' is coated in flour before being fried in olive oil.
