Plaza de España

This popular square, one of the largest in Spain, is flanked by two of the buildings that were once "the skyscrapers" of Madrid (Torre de Madrid and Edificio de España) but the most distinctive thing is in the center of the square: the Monument to Cervantes with his two famous characters, Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. In summer you will enjoy its fountains and the shade of its olive trees.
