The Islamic Watchtowers

In Rincón de la Victoria, you can find two ancient watchtowers that were part of the defensive line of the Nazari Kingdom of Granada. Both date from the reign of Yusuf I, who promoted the defense of the coasts from the pirate incursions in the 14th century. Called El Cantal and Benagalbón, both withstood the winds and the passing of time.

Torre El Cantal Conical, 10.65 m high, is located on a cliff, on the promontory also called El Cantal. From that point you will have a wonderful view of the coast.
Torre Benagalbón Also of conical form and of a height similar to the one of the Cantal, but it is located on a less high promontory.
