Retiro Park Lake

In the heart of El Retiro Park, one of the largest parks in Madrid, you will find this lake, a very popular place for Madrileños, who go there to rent rowing boats or sunbathe. It was created to hold water shows, such as navy battles and boat rides for the Monarchs and their Court. Today, on the weekends, next to the lake, there are numerous shows and cultural activities for children, such as puppet theaters, clowns and mimes.

How to get there

From the main gate of El Retiro park, in the Plaza de la Independencia, you will need less than five minutes walking to reach the lake.
Timetable

Boat rental: Monday to Sunday, 10:00h - 17:30h or 18:30h (depending on the season), until 17:15 in December.

Solar boat: Tuesday to Sunday and holidays: 10:00h - 14:00h  and 16:00h to  sunset (depending on the season). February, closed.
Prices

Boats (price per boat): Monday to Friday: € 6 / Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: € 8. / Solar Boat: €2 per person.
