Plaza Redonda Square

Its name —“Redonda,” meaning “round”— leaves no room for doubt: it is indeed an interior plaza of circular shape, and one of Valencia's most central and visited spots. Lined with numerous shops, it mixes artisan stalls (lace, embroidery, fabrics, ceramics…) with tourist souvenir and food outlets. Some businesses here date back centuries, such as La Casa de los Botijos (a historic ceramics shop since 1860 whose name means “The House of Water Jugs”). The Municipal Market is also located on this plaza.
