Welcome to Madrid & Exploring the City
day 1
Welcome to Madrid & Exploring the City

Welcome to Madrid! The Spanish capital is the starting point of this essential tour.

Today you can discover Madrid at your own pace with a ticket for the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus, which covers some of the city’s main landmarks along two routes: one through historic Madrid and another through its more modern areas. Highlights include the Cibeles and Neptuno fountains, Alcalá Gate, Gran Vía, the Real Madrid Stadium and many more.

If you prefer a guided experience, you can join a regular 4-hour tour with an expert local guide, combining coach and walking visits (optional, at an additional cost).

As throughout the tour, you will have clear information on nearby halal restaurants, making it easy to enjoy your meals with confidence. Your centrally located hotel will also provide an excellent base for exploring the heart of Madrid with ease.

To make the most of this programme and explore the city without rushing or missing any highlights, we recommend arriving early in the day.

From Madrid to Cordoba, peak splendor of Al Andalus
day 2
From Madrid to Cordoba, peak splendor of Al Andalus

Your journey through Andalusia begins with one of its highlights: Cordoba, the Islamic Qurtubah, where Al-Andalus reached its greatest splendour. You will arrive in the city after a high-speed train journey of approximately two hours. (If you wish, private transfers between hotels and railway stations can be arranged as an optional service.)

In the afternoon, you will join a 1.5-hour guided group tour revealing the wonders and secrets of the Great Mosque of Cordoba (entrance included), the most important Islamic monument in the West and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You will then have free time to explore other highlights of the historic centre at your own pace, around the Mosque: the Roman Bridge, the Calahorra Tower, the Arab walls and the streets of the old medina with their lively shops.

With our detailed information, it will be easy to find suitable halal dining options throughout your stay.

From Cordoba to Granda by high-speed train
day 3
From Cordoba to Granda by high-speed train

Today, a high-speed train will take you to Granada in just over an hour and a half. You will have the rest of the day free to begin exploring this city of immense Islamic heritage and lively streets at your own pace — not in vain was it the last kingdom of Al-Andalus.

If you wish, you can optionally hire the services of a local Muslim guide, with whom you can visit emblematic areas such as the Albaicín quarter (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Granada’s Islamic origins come to life in this historic quarter. At the highest point of the neighbourhood, two emblematic landmarks stand out: the San Nicolás viewpoint, offering stunning views of the Alhambra, and nearby, the Great Mosque of Granada, the first mosque built in Spain by new Muslims since the time of Al-Andalus.

An unforgettable visit to the Alhambra
day 4
An unforgettable visit to the Alhambra

Get ready to enjoy one of the highlights of this unforgettable journey: the impressive Alhambra. A true masterpiece of Islamic art and one of the most visited monuments in the world. The time of your private guided visit will be scheduled according to ticket availability and the availability of Muslim guides. The visit lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours (admission included for a full visit of the monument).

You will then have the rest of the day to explore other highlights of Granada at your own pace. Don’t miss the Albaicín, the historic Muslim quarter and birthplace of the city, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You may also visit Sacromonte, known for its cave houses and flamenco shows, or stroll along the Paseo de los Tristes, by the Darro River.

If you wish, you can optionally hire the services of a Muslim guide to accompany you throughout the day. It is also possible to arrange this optional extension on the previous day, if preferred.

A full day to explore the charming Seville, the Islamic Isbiliya

Today you will join a guided group tour to explore two of Seville’s most emblematic monuments, closely connected to its rich Andalusi heritage. First, you will visit the Cathedral, built on the site of the former Great Mosque of Islamic Seville, of which several elements are still preserved, including the former minaret — the Giralda, now the symbol of the city — as well as the Puerta del Perdón and the Patio de los Naranjos.

You will then visit the Royal Alcázar, whose origins date back to the Umayyad governors. Both monuments are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

You will have the rest of the day free to explore other highlights of this beautiful city at your own pace, such as the picturesque Santa Cruz quarter, the Torre del Oro by the Guadalquivir and the Plaza de España. As throughout the tour, you will also have clear guidance to easily find halal dining options.
