Seville Travel Tips

CHOOSE YOUR DATES

Seville is enchanting year-round, but timing your visit can enhance your experience. The ideal months are March, April, May, and September, when the weather is pleasant for exploring without extreme heat. However, note that accommodation prices are higher during major events like Easter and the April Fair, which draw both national and international crowds. For fewer crowds and better rates, visit in May, right after the April Fair.

July and August, though hot, can offer better deals on accommodation as many tourists avoid the heat. If you choose to visit during these months, be sure to book in advance to secure the best rates. Keep in mind that these months are peak vacation times across Spain and Europe, so early planning is essential.

The low season in Seville generally spans November, January, and February, with December being less crowded except for the Christmas holidays.

HOW TO GET
By Train: Seville is well-connected by Spain’s high-speed AVE trains. The AVE links Seville with Madrid (2h30m), Córdoba (40m), Zaragoza (3h40m), Barcelona (5h30m), and Valencia (4h). Additional trains connect to Granada, Málaga, and Cádiz.

By Air: Seville’s San Pablo Airport (SVQ) is just 10 kilometers northeast of the city. It serves flights from major Spanish cities and international destinations including the UK, France, Italy, and Germany.

By Bus: Buses arriving at Plaza de Armas Bus Station connect Seville with numerous Spanish cities and several European countries such as Germany, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Switzerland.

FROM THERE
To fully experience Seville, allocate at least three days. If time is limited, even a well-organized 24-hour visit will leave you captivated by this city. Although Seville is the fourth largest city in Spain with one of the largest historic centers in Europe, its main attractions are conveniently located and easily explored on foot.

Additionally, Seville’s central location makes it a perfect base for exploring other Andalusian treasures like Cordoba or Granada. From here, you can also easily visit other gems of Andalusia, including charming cities like Carmona and Osuna, both rich in history and beauty.
