Walking on the coastal path

Mijas is part of the Malaga Coastal Path (Senda Litoral de Málaga), the great project that will allow you to walk the 180 kilometers of coast of this province, connecting all its beaches and municipalities. Mijas already has two large sections that are parallel to the sea. You will enjoy the landscape, nature and serenity in a unique and joyful way.

Wooden path In some areas the coastal path is a wooden platform that allows you to walk comfortably through previously inaccessible places.
Two operative sections One, from La Cala to Riviera. The other one, between the beach bars El Capricho and El Juncal. The third one will connect Mijas with Fuengirola town when it's finished. Close to La Cala Wachtower, where the first section begins, you will find a large parking area.
Landscapes and nature The coastal path will allow you to enjoy Watchtowers, Mediterranean dunes, sandbanks, bird watching spots, protected fauna and flora species.
