Important: The Alhambra is closed on December 25 and January 1. Access to the Nasrid Palaces is only permitted at the time indicated on your ticket.
كيفية الوصول إلى هناك: The Alhambra is located on Sabika Hill, overlooking the city of Granada.
بالحافلة: The C30 and C32 minibuses connect the Alhambra with the city center and the Albaicín. The journey from the city center takes approximately 10–15 minutes. They are a convenient option, although they can get very crowded, especially during peak tourist season. Check the latest routes and stops before your visit.
On foot: You can walk up to the Alhambra from Plaza Nueva via Cuesta de Gomérez, through the beautiful Alhambra forest. The walk takes approximately 20–30 minutes, but the climb is quite steep and requires a reasonable level of fitness, particularly in hot weather. Our advice? Save your energy for exploring the Alhambra itself!
By taxi: A convenient alternative, especially for families with children or visitors who prefer to avoid the uphill walk. The journey from the city center usually takes around 5–15 minutes, depending on traffic and your departure point.
المدة: A complete guided tour of the Alhambra complex, including its main monuments and gardens, takes approximately 3 hours.
General admission tickets are valid throughout the day, during opening hours. However, access to the Nasrid Palaces is only permitted at the specific time indicated on your ticket. You can visit the other areas of the complex before or after that time, at your own pace, but each area can only be entered once.
نصيحتنا Don't count on finding tickets on the day of your visit, or even the day before. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend booking your Alhambra tickets well in advance, especially during peak season (spring, summer, Easter and public holidays). Tickets can sell out weeks or even months in advance, particularly those including access to the Nasrid Palaces.
If your preferred date is sold out, it's worth checking the official Alhambra ticketing website again, as additional tickets sometimes become available. However, don't rely on last-minute availability.
